We thought it would be interesting to see how many people are still checking the blog, even though we’ve been a little slow on the updates. As you can see by the photo we’ve been quite busy! Anyway for all of you faithfull readers out there you get to hear this news 1st (unless you already know). Liz is once again pregnant and expecting another baby! This scan was taken today at the Hommerton Hospital – due date is the 11th June.
A couple of weeks ago we bought Tomás a new bed as his cot was getting a bit too small for him. I guess the pics above give you an indication of how he has adapted to the new bed.
I’ve also added a little video of me playing with him (please excuse the super sweaty shirt as I had literally just arrived after cycling back from work)
I went to ASDA a couple of weeks ago and I bought 200 plastic balls for Tomás to play with, here’s the end result. 🙂
A week before the Salvador concert Tomás, Liz & I headed up to see Dave & Sarah in Durham (North East). I took the friday off and we flew up on Thursday evening – needless to say it was a great time had by all.
On Saturday Dave & I did some Kite buggying in the morning (no photos I’m afraid) and in the afternoon we headed to Hadrian’s wall. Check out the pics below.
Both Liz & I are big fans of this band called Salvador and finally they come to London for the 1st time ever! Here’s a video I found on YouTube – all I can say is that it was probably the best gig I’ve ever been to in my entire life.
Left to Right: Edwin Santiago (trumpet, flugelhorn), Nic Gonzales (vocals, guitar) + me, Andi & Tunde
Well for some reason I had it in my head I had posted something since the last one. Obviously not! We have been enjoying ourselves a bit. A friend of ours turned the big 30 last week and Mike and I booked a babysitter for the night. The theme of the bar was Hawaiian and there were plenty of bold colours splashing about the place both in the dress and the drinks. It made for a very different night, especially being close to Elephant and Castle in south London 🙂
Since then we have had some fantastic weather making everywhere seems so much happier. One saturday we took Tomás to the local park where there are some water fountains which he really enjoyed and proceeded to get drenched. I have some pictures of the before water and after, but I need to find the camera first! I will be back to post them….
It’s been a while since we’ve had snow and for London, it wasn’t bad. I got up early to see to Tomás only to pull back the curtains to see snow! I called to Mike to come and have a look only to get the reply “Will it still be the there in 10minutes?” I might be guessing but I think if Tomás could talk his response would have been different. We didn’t quite have time to get out in the garden and make a snowman. Instead we rushed off to church and enjoyed a lunch at Wagamamas but I think Tomás appreciated it anyway!
On a different note Cheryl and I enjoyed our winning tickets to the Ballet last saturday night. It was four modern pieces shown at the Coliseum near to Charing Cross. We left the children with the men, put on some nice clothes and went out on the town. It was excellent. For those who are interested the two main dancers were Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant. Afterwards we treated ourselves to a cup of coffee at Patisserie Valerie in Soho who is renowned for extremely nice cakes too :). It must be mentionned that the fathers did a grand job as they were both asleep when we got back (that is the babies were asleep).
